Have you ever done something because everyone wanted you to? They wanted it so badly for you that you began to think you wanted it too.

That happened to me recently, and had it not been for one particularly tuned in Officer, I may in fact be training at Kapooka right now.

I dreaded the thought and yet I nodded and I went through with it, therefore I have no one but myself to blame for the mistake.

I didn't want to be an Admin clerk. I didn't want to be a solider.

In fact I realised when I came out of that building that I had bawled my eyes out for a good week when I didn't make nursing [FUCKING AUSTRALIA POST YOU WILL DIE!!!!] but when the military told me to come back in a year, I felt as though a 10 tonne truck had been lifted off my body.

I felt happy and I felt freedom.
To me, I guess shipping myself off to the Army, 'because my family were so proud' was more like a jail sentence than an actual career.

So now I KNOW what I want. And I KNOW never to use Australia Post again. Fax machines do the job just fine, and in less than an eighth of the time lol.

Turns out that i've been depressed this whole time. Explains the frustration and the way I seemed to very easily snap at people for the tinyest things.

Why it was hard for me to get out of bed before 12.
Why I hated talking to people about anything, especially my life.

Yeah....Explains a hell of a lot.

And all it took was one very intelligent Officer named Simon Lovell.
